My name is Dre Broaddus, 25yr old and I am a fashion designer from Philadelphia, “The city of brotherly love”. Personally speaking, I am a walking promotion of being different. I go by a couple mottos “stand out instead of fitting in”“, be you”, and what I go by every day, “love my fresh“, which is also the name of my blog & brand.

I chose LOVEMYFRESH, because anyone who is artistic in anyway whether its fashion, music, painting, poetry or art etc., has been called a “weirdo” jus for being different.

 LOVEMYFRESH:

LOVE=Represents Philly. Also to embrace, accept, appreciate, or as are young generation says, “I’m feeling that”.
MY FRESH= your style of fashion, art, music dance. Whatever your craft is your fresh. In this case, fashion is mine.

When u put it all together, it equals “except my style“. I embrace what I am doing and I separate myself from the normal. LOVEMYFRESH.
I hate looking like someone else; I set my own trends. I often refer to myself as being an “unrecognized trendsetter” -someone who does not care what others think, just doing me. People  shy away  from making themselves feel happy  just because they’re afraid what others may say, but don’t realize at the end of the day you have to do what makes you feel good. Therefore, if u want to wear purple shoes with yellow socks, which is your own unique style, I say, go for it.

If you see me, you would say he has a different style. I am not your typical Nike track sets, Prada, Gucci, just to fit in type of person. You could throw me in a thrift store and I would come out with a whole outfit. I am a person with many ideas and I feel as though I could contribute to the art of fashion in many ways styling, or designing. As of now, I have been customizing jackets, which includes patchwork, distressing, and a theme of the military. I took something that has was already done (patchwork) and put a different spin on a jean jacket, then took it to a camo jacket and have been taking it further. This is not the only thing I have to offer, so jus stay tuned. I feel as though we are at a period where every style of fashion has come back , that you shouldn’t be afraid to express yourself , so LOVE her fresh, LOVE his fresh , LOVEMYFRESH,  but mostly,  LOVE your own FRESH.
