Souljah Boy Arrested: For possesion of Marijuana
SMFH…I don’t understand why folks are just so DUMB. You have a career, you make great money, you have masses of kids that are you FANS & yet you do stupid ish like this!!! In my opinion, you deserve to get caught if you think that you are invincible because of who you are. Then again he is still young, but there is a price to pay when you are RICH & FAMOUS.
Soulja Boy was arrested early this morning for weed possession … and law enforcement sources tell TMZ cops allegedly found a ton of weed and cash during the arrest.
The 21-year-old rapper — real name DeAndre Cortez Way — was popped early this morning by Temple Police Department officers in Temple, GA at 3:15 AM.
Law enforcement sources tell TMZ … Soulja was riding in an Escalade with 4 other men, which was originally pulled over for a traffic violation.
We’re told … during the stop, cops found a “substantial amount” of marijuana and cash inside the vehicle.” Soulja and the 4 other men were all arrested. Soulja is still being held in Carrol County Jail.
Law enforcement sources tell us officers also found guns inside the car — though it’s unclear if any of the men had the proper licenses to be in possession of the firearms. We’re told an investigation is underway.
One source with knowledge of the situation tells us there was roughly $70,000 in cash and drugs in the car. (WHY WOULD YOU HAVE ALL THAT ON YOU???) I D I O T S (Napoleon Dynamite voice)
9:05 AM: Law enforcement tells TMZ, all 5 men were arrested on charges of possession of marijuana, possession with intent to distribute, and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime.
We’re told the Escalade Soulja was riding in was part of a car service — and the driver was one of the five men arrested.
Waka Flocka…What the Focka???
TMZ reports — More legal trouble for Waka Flocka Flame – the rapper was detained by police in Georgia today after cops say they found marijuana in his car.
Law enforcement sources tell us … Waka was pulled over for a routine traffic violation a few hours ago … but when cops approached the rapper’s White Chevy Tahoe, they could smell the odor of weed.
We’re told Waka was asked to step out of the vehicle — and was placed in handcuffs. When cops searched the ride, officers say they found “a small amount of marijuana” on the floor. Waka was cited for possession of less than 1 ounce of weed AND failure to wear a seat belt. He was eventually released and sent on his way. We’re told Waka was “very cooperative” during the incident.
Flame is no stranger to the law — earlier this month, he was arrested for drug possession in NY when cops say he brought weed to a mall. Back in 2006, he pled guilty to possessing a sawed-off shotgun.
