Tia P. is an artist with major crossover appeal: My goal is to “Change the Game” back to what it used to be and create original music and write lyrics that people can relate to. In April 2011 Tia P. was named the winner in the 2010 – 2011 International Songwriting Competition in the Teen category for her composition “Music is Fundamental” Her desire is to tap a wide array of fans so she can speak to their souls and inspire them to follow their dreams. She definitely has the content to fulfill the aforementioned: to date, she has written over 750+ songs. And, she is only 18!
Although gifted with many talents, Tia P. recognizes the importance of education. This past summer she graduated, with honors, from the prestigious Campbell Hall High School in North Hollywood, CA and is now a college freshman attending the Historical Black Howard University in Washington, D.C. where she is majoring in Music Business with a minor in Psychology.
Having been performing since the age of 6 Tia P. longs to have longevity in the music biz like the great Ella Fitzgerald, while also desiring to be a mogul like Diddy, Beyonce and Jay Z. There is no doubt that she can do both considering her current work load and tenacious work ethic.
