Rapper/Songwriter/Drummer/Producer Tia P. is an extraordinary artist. Never one to settle for less or take the easy road, Tia P. has taken on the challenge to be the Voice of the New Generation. With the release of her latest mixtape single, “OTIS” released by 6x Entertainment Tia P. lyrically explains to her listeners how she is on a mission to get to the top and taking no prisoners. Tia P.’s remix of “OTIS” was so hot that musical genius, Teddy Riley contacted her on Twitter and made her version of “OTIS” a favorite on his Facebook Page. With a petite frame and just 5 feet tall, she possesses a huge presence and commands immediate attention when performing. Her soulful gritty voice delivers funky rhythms and well-thought out lyrics while conveying a compelling story. Tia P.
demonstrates a musical maturity well beyond her eighteen years of age.

Tia P. is an artist with major crossover appeal: My goal is to “Change the Game” back to what it used to be and create original music and write lyrics that people can relate to. In April 2011 Tia P. was named the winner in the 2010 – 2011 International Songwriting Competition in the Teen category for her composition “Music is Fundamental” Her desire is to tap a wide array of fans so she can speak to their souls and inspire them to follow their dreams. She definitely has the content to fulfill the aforementioned: to date, she has written over 750+ songs. And, she is only 18!

Although gifted with many talents, Tia P. recognizes the importance of education. This past summer she graduated, with honors, from the prestigious Campbell Hall High School in North Hollywood, CA and is now a college freshman attending the Historical Black Howard University in Washington, D.C. where she is majoring in Music Business with a minor in Psychology.

Having been performing since the age of 6 Tia P. longs to have longevity in the music biz like the great Ella Fitzgerald, while also desiring to be a mogul like Diddy, Beyonce and Jay Z. There is no doubt that she can do both considering her current work load and tenacious work ethic.

Her ultimate aspiration is that her life and music shine as a celebration of individuality and reflect her personal slogan:

Do You!

Who wore it better?…Something for the men.

My posts have been more geared towards women, but today I’m showing some love to the men.

With t-shirts starting at $300 and jackets topping off at $3,000, this trend is not for the fashion faint.  Who do you think wore it better. See how our fave celebs rock the look here:

I personally like all of their styles. They all have their own uniqueness and I am a fan of people who are their own trendsetters and not trend followers.

Kanye and Jay-Z kick started this trend, undoubtedly thanks, in part, to their collaboration with Givenchy’s head designer Riccardo Tisci on their Watch the Throne album artwork.
Swagger on a hundred, thousand trillion.

Consequence Has NO Beef With Kanye but He Does with Q-Tip

SMFH…first off all I think Consequence is whack & not to mention fugly LOL…so who really cares what this ol yuck mouth dude has to say HA!

DAMN...I couldn't even find a decent pic of HIM!!!

Hip Hop DX reports — After declaring war on Kanye West and his cousin Q-Tip, Consequence has announced that one of these feuds has come to an end. During a recent appearance on MTV’s Rap Fix, Cons shared that he and Kanye exchanged a few words before settling their dispute. However, Cons has not been able to settle his differences with Q-Tip as of yet.

“Me and Kanye spoke,” he announced to Rap Fix’s host, Sway Calloway. “We spoke. I hit him. He hit me back with one of them all-caps tirades [via e-mail]. So, he was pissed, and rightfully so. I was pissed. That’s why things had happened the way they happened. He spoke his piece and I spoke my piece. He told me he loved me. The feud is over with Kanye. Is the feud over with other people? See me in the streets.”

Although implying this indirectly initially, he was then asked if he had settled his war of words with Q-Tip, to which he replied, “Nah.”

“Through mutual friends, I’ve heard that he’s wanted to speak with me or whatever,” he added. “But, when you opt to talk to bloggers instead of your cousin? I don’t pump like that.”

He also added more details about his quarrel with Tip, explaining that he feels he can no longer go back to the relationship and partnership they once had.

“When we spoke, before I came to Rap Fix, it got stupid on the phone. When you come too far out of character with me, it ain’t no reversing that. I’m about business first and foremost. So, if the business between me and you is flawed and you running your jibs, you playin’ yourself to me. I can’t chest-bump with that. We not New York Knicks no more, dog. I can’t.”

Why You Can’t Hate On Luxury Rap or “Watch The Throne”

JumpOff.TV reports — Jay-Z & Kanye West’s “Watch The Throne” album was digitally released 1 week before the physical CD’s were shipped to retail as an attempt to stop the album leaking out. Is this the new model for major album releases? Will Lil Wayne & Drake adopt this strategy? The biggest criticism about the album is its heavy focus on ‘Luxury Rap’ and Jay-Z & Kanye West celebrating their success.

Hov’s Manager Says “Watch the Throne” Will NOT Leak

well as we all know it’s a bit hard to keep albums from leaking, due to the digital world taking over…it’s much easier these days for people to hack into systems etc…but rest assured Jay-Z’s camp has figured out away to keep the ALBUM under raps and off the internet air waves (is this virtually POSSIBLE???), before it is released on iTunes on August 8th & hits the shelves on August 12th. P.S. my bday is on the 20th so PLEASE FEEL FREE TO COP ME THE ALBUM AS A PRESENT!!!

Hip Hop DX reports — Despite the fact that virtually no album goes un-leaked these days, one manager believes that his camp has discovered a way to keep one of the most highly-anticipated Hip Hop albums from getting to the masses ahead of time.

John Meneilly, Jay-Z’s manager, believes that Jay and Kanye West’s album, Watch The Throne, is on lock down. “It is not going to leak,” tweeted Meneilly. The claim is particularly bold, as many artists have unsuccessfully tried to keep their albums from leaking, but to no avail.

As an added measure against leaking, the digital and physical release dates were paced, with the iTunes release landing on August 8, and all other digital and physical releases on August 12. The duo is set to tour in support of the album, beginning with an October 29 show in Detroit.
